Shannon Marie Woodward is an American actress. She is famous for her roles in popular TV shows and a major video game. Many people know her as Sabrina Collins in the comedy show Raising Hope or as the computer programmer Elsie Hughes in the science-fiction series Westworld.
She also voiced the character Dina in the video game The Last of Us Part II. Her performance was so good that she was nominated for a major award from the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA).

Acting Career
Early Roles
Shannon's first acting job was in 1991 on the Nickelodeon show Clarissa Explains It All. She played the character Missy in a few episodes. After that, she appeared in movies made for television, like Family Reunion: A Relative Nightmare (1995) and Tornado! (1996).
From 2000 to 2007, Shannon had small parts in several TV shows. These included The Drew Carey Show, Malcolm in the Middle, and Psych.
Her first role in a major movie was in the 2005 action-comedy Man of the House. She played Emma Sharp, the daughter of a Texas Ranger.
Television Stardom
In 2007, Shannon got a main role in the TV series The Riches. She played Di Di Malloy, a teenager in a family of travelers. The show was on the FX network for two seasons. This role helped make her more famous.
From 2010 to 2014, Shannon starred in the popular Fox comedy show Raising Hope. She played Sabrina Collins, a grocery store worker who becomes the main character's love interest.
She also appeared in the final season of the medical drama ER as Kelly Taggart.
A fun fact is that Shannon is friends with the singer Katy Perry. She appeared in Katy's music video for the song "Hot n Cold" and was also in her concert movie, Katy Perry: Part of Me. In return, Katy Perry was a guest star on an episode of Raising Hope.
Westworld and Voice Acting
From 2016 to 2018, Shannon played Elsie Hughes in the HBO series Westworld. Her character was a smart computer programmer working in a futuristic theme park.
In 2020, she took on a new challenge: voice acting for a video game. She played Dina in The Last of Us Part II. Dina is a close friend and partner to the game's main character, Ellie. Her work in the game earned her a nomination for a BAFTA award.
