Shar Levine, born in 1953, is a Canadian author who writes books for children. She is also a designer. Shar is known for her fun, hands-on science books. She has written over 70 books and science kits.
For her amazing work in making science easy and fun for everyone, Shar was given a special honor. In 2016, she became a member of the Order of Canada. This is one of the highest awards a Canadian citizen can receive. In 2015, the University of Alberta also honored her with their Alumni Honour Award.
Shar Levine is sometimes called "Sciencelady" because of her passion for science. She often visits schools and libraries to give exciting science presentations. Thousands of children have enjoyed learning from her. She also speaks at writing festivals and conferences for teachers and librarians.
