Sharrod Wellingham (born 7 July 1988) is a former professional Australian rules football player. He played for two major teams: the Collingwood Football Club and the West Coast Eagles. Both teams are part of the Australian Football League (AFL).

Sharrod was known for his speed as a wingman. He came from Western Australia and was one of several Indigenous players on the Collingwood team. He was chosen as the 10th pick in the 2006 AFL Rookie draft.

Starting His AFL Journey

When Sharrod first joined Collingwood, he spent time playing for their partner team, Williamstown. This helped him gain experience. Even though he started in the reserves, he soon moved up. He was added to Collingwood's main team list.

In 2008, Sharrod was promoted to the senior team again. He made his official debut in a big game. This was the Anzac Day Clash against Essendon. He stepped in when another player was injured.

Shining at Collingwood

After 2008, Sharrod became a very important player for Collingwood. He was a key part of their midfield. His speed and excellent foot skills were a huge help. He was also good at catching the ball overhead. Sharrod was known for his fierce effort in every game.
