Shaun Murray's Early Life
Shaun Murray started learning to water ski when he was just 8 years old. This was in San Diego Bay. In 1988, when he was 11, his family visited Lake Shasta. There, he tried a new sport called Skurfing. They rented a Skurfer from a local shop. This was his very first step into the world of wakeboarding!
The next year, Shaun and his family moved to Lake St. Louis, Missouri. He joined the Lake St. Louis Water Ski Club. This helped him practice and get much better at wakeboarding. After high school, he moved to Florida. He joined the ski team at Florida Southern College. He also taught skiing at a school there. Shaun decided to take a break from college to focus on wakeboarding. He got so good that he earned scholarships. He joined some of the biggest teams in the sport. His career took off, and he became a huge success. He never went back to school because of his amazing achievements!
Shaun Murray's Wakeboarding Career
Shaun Murray's professional wakeboarding career began in 1995. He has achieved so much and brought many new ideas to the sport. He has won many Pro Tour and World Championship titles.
