Shaylee Bent (born 13 September 2000) is an Australian professional rugby league player. She plays as a second-rower or centre. Shaylee currently plays for the Gold Coast Titans Women in the NRL Women's Premiership. She also plays for the Wynnum Manly Seagulls in the QRL Women's Premiership.
Shaylee is a talented player who has represented her state, New South Wales. She has also played for the Indigenous All Stars and the Australian national team.

Early Life and Background
Shaylee Bent was born in Penrith, New South Wales, Australia. She has both Indigenous Australian and Greek heritage. Shaylee started playing rugby league when she was 15 years old. Her first team was the Glenmore Park Brumbies.
Starting Her Career
In 2017, Shaylee played for the Parramatta Eels Women in the Tarsha Gale Cup. This is a competition for young female rugby league players. The next year, in 2018, she joined the Wests Tigers Tarsha Gale Cup team.
After playing in the Tarsha Gale Cup, Shaylee moved to the Mounties team. She played in the NSWRL Women's Premiership. She helped her team win the Grand Final that year.
Shaylee's Professional Journey
Joining the Dragons
In 2019, Shaylee played for Mounties again. She also represented NSW City in a national championship. Later that year, she made her big debut in the NRL Women's season. She joined the St George Illawarra Dragons. Shaylee played in the Grand Final with the Dragons in 2019. She also represented Australia in the Rugby League World Cup 9s.
Key Moments in 2020
Shaylee continued to shine in 2020. She played for the Indigenous All Stars team. They won their game against the Maori All Stars. She also played for the South Sydney Rabbitohs in the NSWRL Women's Premiership.
The Dragons named her their NRLW Player of the Year in 2020. Shaylee also made her State of Origin debut for New South Wales.
Moving to Queensland and National Representation
In 2021, Shaylee joined the Tweed Heads Seagulls in the QRL Women's Premiership. She also played for the Indigenous All Stars again.
The 2022 season was a big one for Shaylee. She scored her first try for the Dragons. She also played in the 2021 NRL Women's Premiership Grand Final with the Dragons. Shaylee helped New South Wales win the 2022 Women's State of Origin.
A major highlight was being selected for The Jillaroos. This is Australia's national women's rugby league team. She played in the 2021 Women's Rugby League World Cup. Shaylee scored a try in the semi-final. She also played in the World Cup final, where Australia won!
Playing for the Titans
In 2023, Shaylee joined the Gold Coast Titans. She quickly made an impact, scoring her first try for the Titans in Round 3. She scored another try later in the season. Shaylee played in the 2023 NRL Women's Premiership Grand Final with the Titans.
In 2024, Shaylee continued her strong performance. She scored the first try for the Indigenous All-Stars in their win against the Māori All-Stars. She played nine games for the Titans in 2024. In October 2024, she signed a new contract to stay with the Titans until 2027. Shaylee was also chosen to play for the Australian Prime Minister's XIII team.
