Shingi Ono (born April 9, 1974) is a former professional football player from Japan. He played as a midfielder for several teams during his career.

Shingi Ono's Football Journey

Shingi Ono was born in Tokyo, Japan. He started his football journey in 1993. He joined the youth team of Verdy Kawasaki.

Early Career and Loans

When he first joined Verdy Kawasaki, he did not play in any official matches. In July 1996, he moved to Denso. This was a loan move to a team in the Japan Football League. At Denso, he got to play in many games.

After his loan ended, Ono returned to Verdy Kawasaki in 1997. In 1998, he moved to Gamba Osaka. He made his debut in the top Japanese league, the J1 League. However, he still found it hard to get much playing time.

Success with Yokohama FC

In 1999, Shingi Ono joined a new club called Yokohama FC. This team was also in the Japan Football League. He became a key player for Yokohama FC. The team won the league championship two years in a row, in 1999 and 2000.

Because of their success, Yokohama FC was promoted to the J2 League in 2001. Ono continued to be a regular player for the team. He played for Yokohama FC until the end of the 2005 season.

Later Career and Retirement

In 2006, Ono moved to New Wave Kitakyushu. This team was in the Japanese Regional Leagues. He continued to play regularly there. The team was promoted to the Japan Football League in 2008.

However, as time went on, Ono played less often. He decided to retire from professional football at the end of the 2009 season.
