Shinji Jojo (城定 信次, Jojo Shinji, born August 28, 1977) is a former Japanese football player. He played as a defender during his career. Jojo was known for his skills on the left side of the field.

Starting with Urawa Reds
Shinji Jojo was born in Hamura, Japan, on August 28, 1977. After finishing high school, he began his professional football journey. In 1996, he joined the Urawa Reds football club. This was a big step for the young player.
In 1997, Jojo started playing more often for Urawa Reds. He showed his skills as a left-sided midfielder and also as a left-sided defender. He was a versatile player who could help his team in different positions.
Moving to Other Teams
As time went on, Jojo's playing time at Urawa Reds changed. In 2000, he did not play as many matches. To get more experience, he moved to Albirex Niigata in September 2002. This was a temporary move, called a loan.
He returned to Urawa Reds in 2003, but still found it hard to get regular playing time. So, in 2004, he made another move. Jojo joined Shonan Bellmare, where he became a key player. He often played as the left-sided defender for this team. Shinji Jojo played for Shonan Bellmare until the end of the 2006 season. After that, he decided to retire from professional football.

Playing for Japan U-20
Shinji Jojo also had the chance to represent his country. In June 1997, he was chosen to play for the Japan U-20 national team. This was a special honor for him.
He played in a big tournament called the 1997 World Youth Championship. Jojo was a very important player for his team in this competition. He played every minute of all five matches. He played as a left-sided midfielder and even scored two goals for Japan.
