Shinji Jojo (城定 信次, Jojo Shinji, born August 28, 1977) is a former Japanese football player. He was a talented defender who played for several teams in Japan, including Urawa Reds and Shonan Bellmare. He also represented his country on the national youth team.

Shinji Jojo's Club Career
Shinji Jojo was born in Hamura, a city in Tokyo, Japan. After finishing high school, he joined a professional football team called Urawa Reds in 1996.
Playing for Urawa Reds
In 1997, Shinji started playing in many matches. He often played as a left side midfielder or a left side defender. However, by the year 2000, he didn't get to play as much.
In September 2002, he moved to Albirex Niigata for a short time. This is called being "on loan," which means he played for a different team temporarily. He returned to Urawa Reds in 2003, but still didn't play very often.
Moving to Shonan Bellmare
In 2004, Shinji Jojo moved to another team called Shonan Bellmare. Here, he played much more often, usually as a left side defender. He continued to play for Shonan Bellmare until the end of the 2006 season. After that, he decided to retire from playing professional football.
Shinji Jojo's National Team Experience
In June 1997, Shinji Jojo was chosen to play for the Japan U-20 national team. This team played in a big tournament called the 1997 World Youth Championship.
During this important tournament, Shinji played in all five matches from start to finish. He played as a left side midfielder and even scored two goals for his country!
