Shinya Mitsuoka's Football Journey

Starting His Career

Shinya Mitsuoka was born on April 22, 1976. After finishing high school, he joined his local football club, Yokohama Flügels, in 1995. This was a big step for him into professional football.

First Games and Goals

Mitsuoka made his first professional appearance on April 26, 1995, against Gamba Osaka. It was an amazing start! He scored the very first goal of the game just two minutes after it began. After this exciting debut, he played as a forward and sometimes as an offensive midfielder. An offensive midfielder helps create chances for goals.

Playing for Different Teams

In 1997, his team, Yokohama Flügels, did very well in the Emperor's Cup, finishing in second place. This was a great achievement for the club.

Moving to Kyoto Purple Sanga

In 1998, Mitsuoka moved to another team called Kyoto Purple Sanga. He continued to play many games as a forward. However, he faced a challenge when he hurt his knee. This injury meant he couldn't play for a while.

Time with Vegalta Sendai

In 2001, Mitsuoka joined J2 League club Vegalta Sendai. He often came into games as a substitute player. Even so, he helped his team a lot. Vegalta Sendai won the championship in 2001, which meant they were promoted to the J1 League for the 2002 season. The J1 League is the top football league in Japan.

Final Season and Retirement

When Vegalta Sendai moved up to the J1 League in 2002, Mitsuoka found fewer chances to play. In 2003, he moved to Football League club Sagawa Express Tokyo. He didn't get to play much there either. At the end of the 2003 season, Shinya Mitsuoka decided to retire from professional football. Throughout his career, he played 73 league games and scored 7 goals.
