Shinya Nishikawa (born June 12, 1974) is a former Japanese football player. He was known for playing as a forward or midfielder.
Shinya Nishikawa's Football Journey
Shinya Nishikawa was born in Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan, on June 12, 1974. After finishing high school, he joined a professional football team called Yokohama Marinos in 1993.
For his first two years, in 1993 and 1994, he did not get to play in any official matches. His big moment came on September 6, 1995. He made his first professional appearance as a forward in a game against Sanfrecce Hiroshima.
Even though Yokohama Marinos won the championship in the J1 League that year, this was the only match Shinya Nishikawa played. He decided to retire from football at the end of the 1995 season.
