Sho Ito's Football Journey

Starting in France

Sho Ito began his professional football career in Europe. In August 2006, he had a tryout with the famous English club Arsenal. The manager, Arsène Wenger, was impressed with his skills.

However, Sho Ito could not get a special permit to work in England. So, in January 2007, he signed a contract with a French club called Grenoble. He played there for a few years before returning to Japan.

Playing in Japan

After his time in France, Sho Ito came back to Japan. He joined Shimizu S-Pulse in 2010 and played there until 2013. He then moved to Yokohama F. Marinos in 2014, where he played for five seasons.

Later, he joined Kashima Antlers in 2019. In 2021, he moved to Yokohama FC. During 2021, he also played for Matsumoto Yamaga on a temporary loan. He is still playing for Yokohama FC today.
