Sho Ito (伊藤 翔, Itō Shō, born 24 July 1988) is a Japanese professional footballer. He plays as a forward for Yokohama FC. He has also played for Japan's under-20 team. He took part in the 2006 AFC Youth Championship.

Sho Ito's Football Journey
Sho Ito was born on July 24, 1988. He grew up in Kasugai, Aichi Prefecture, Japan. He started playing football at a young age. His talent was noticed early on.
Early Career and Moving to France
In August 2006, when Sho Ito was 18, he got a chance to try out for the famous English club Arsenal. The team's manager, Arsène Wenger, was very impressed with his skills. However, Sho Ito could not get a special permit to work in England.
So, in January 2007, he decided to move to France instead. He signed a three-and-a-half-year contract with a French club called Grenoble. This was a big step for a young Japanese player. He played a few games for Grenoble before returning to Japan.
Playing in Japan's J.League
After his time in France, Sho Ito came back to Japan. He joined Shimizu S-Pulse in 2010. He played as a forward and scored goals for the team. He stayed with Shimizu S-Pulse until 2013.
In 2014, he moved to another big Japanese club, Yokohama F. Marinos. He played many games for them and scored many goals. He was an important player for Yokohama F. Marinos for five years.
Later, he joined Kashima Antlers in 2019. He continued to show his skills as a forward. In 2021, he moved to Yokohama FC. He also had a short loan period with Matsumoto Yamaga in 2021.
International Appearances
Sho Ito also represented Japan on the international stage. He played for Japan's national under-20 football team. He was part of the team that played in the 2006 AFC Youth Championship. This competition helps find young football stars.
