Shoji Ikitsu (生津 将司, Ikitsu Shoji, born May 20, 1977) is a former Japanese football player. He played as a Midfielder.
Playing Career: Shoji Ikitsu's Football Journey
Shoji Ikitsu was born in Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan, on May 20, 1977. After finishing high school, he began his professional football career in 1996. He joined his hometown club, Avispa Fukuoka.
Even though he was an offensive midfielder, he didn't get to play very often for Avispa Fukuoka. In July 1999, he moved to Sagan Tosu. This club had just been promoted to the J2 League, which is Japan's second-highest football league.
At Sagan Tosu, Shoji Ikitsu became a regular player. He played in many games for the team. After playing for Sagan Tosu, he spent a year without playing any official matches. In 2001, he joined New Wave Kitakyushu. This club played in the Japanese Regional Leagues, which are lower-level leagues. Shoji Ikitsu decided to retire from playing football at the end of the 2001 season.
During his professional career, Shoji Ikitsu played a total of 28 league games. He did not score any goals in these matches.
