Shuichi Mase (born October 22, 1973) is a Japanese football expert. He used to play as a forward, scoring goals for different teams. After his playing days, he became a successful football manager, leading various clubs and even a national team.

Playing Football
Shuichi Mase was born in Mie Prefecture, Japan. He loved football from a young age. After finishing university, he played professionally for a few years. From 1997 to 2000, he played as a forward. He played for teams in North and Central America. He also played in Croatia for a while.
Becoming a Coach
After his playing career, Shuichi Mase started coaching. He worked as a translator for famous coaches like Ivica Osim. This helped him learn a lot about managing a team.
Early Coaching Roles
Mase began his coaching journey at JEF United Chiba. He then moved to other Japanese clubs. He coached at Fagiano Okayama from 2010 to 2012. Later, he coached at Tokyo Verdy in 2013.
Managing Teams
In 2015, Shuichi Mase became the manager of Blaublitz Akita. This was a special move for him. His mother was from Akita, making it a homecoming. He managed the team for two years.
In 2017, he became the manager for Ehime FC. However, the team did not perform well in 2018. He left Ehime FC in May 2018. Later that year, he returned to Blaublitz Akita. He managed them again for another year.
International Coaching
Shuichi Mase also coached international teams. In 2021, he managed the Mongolia national under-23 football team. He also took charge of the main Mongolia national football team. This shows his wide experience in football.
Current Role
Since 2024, Shuichi Mase has been the manager of Veertien Mie. He continues to share his football knowledge with new players.
