Music Journey

First Album: Shwayze (2008)

Shwayze started making music with Cisco Adler. They recorded several songs together and then signed with Geffen Records. Their first album, Shwayze, came out on August 19, 2008. Cisco Adler helped write the songs, produce the music, and sang backup.

The songs "Buzzin'" and "Corona and Lime" were big hits from this album. "Buzzin'" quickly climbed the Billboard Hot 100 chart. "Corona and Lime" also did very well, reaching number 23. The album itself debuted at number 10 on the Billboard charts. It sold 47,000 copies in its first week. "Buzzin'" was even used in commercials.

Shwayze and Cisco Adler also had their own reality television show on MTV called Buzzin'. It started on July 23, 2008.

Second Album: Let It Beat (2009)

Their second album, Let It Beat, was announced in early 2009. The first song from this album, "Get U Home", was released on June 28, 2009. Shwayze and Cisco Adler hoped this album would help them be seen more as serious musicians. They wanted to be known for their music, not just their reality TV show.

Cisco Adler said they wanted the sound on Let It Beat to be "bigger" than their first album. Songs like "Get U Home" had a more dance club feel. Other songs, like "Crazy For You" with Ric Ocasek and Darryl Jenifer, sounded more like rock music. "Heart and Soul" featured Roy Bittan and was a ballad. Famous rapper Snoop Dogg was also on the song "Livin' It Up".

Music Mix Tapes (2008–2010)

Shwayze and Cisco Adler released a mixtape called Rich Girls on November 24, 2008. A mixtape is like a collection of songs, often given away for free.

Island in the Sun (2011)
