On July 7, 2014, Shweta Khadka married Shree Krishna Shrestha. He was an actor she often worked with in movies. Sadly, just one month later, on August 10, her husband passed away. He was 47 years old. Later, on December 7, 2020, Shweta married Bijayendra Singh.
Role in Politics
Shweta Khadka is also involved in politics. She is a member of the Nepali Congress party. This party is one of the oldest and largest democratic groups in Nepal.

Starting in Movies
Shweta Khadka began her acting journey in 2008. Her first movie was Kaha Bhetiyela. In this film, she acted alongside Shree Krishna Shrestha. The movie was a huge success. It earned a lot of money at the box office. Kaha Bhetiyela became the highest-earning film of that year. It was also one of the most successful Nepali films ever.
More Films and Success
After her first big hit, Shweta starred in Hasideu Ek Phera in 2010. She worked with famous actors like Hari Bansa Acharya and Madan Krishna Shrestha. This movie did fairly well. Her next film was Shreeman Shreemati in 2011. In this movie, she again acted with Shree Krishna Shrestha and Rekha Thapa. However, this film was not as successful.
Kohinoor and a Break
In 2014, Shweta starred in the movie Kohinoor. She acted opposite her husband, Shree Krishna Shrestha. This movie became very important because of a sad event. Her husband, Shree Krishna Shrestha, passed away shortly after the film's release. Many people went to the cinemas to see him on screen one last time. Kohinoor broke all previous records. It became the highest-earning film in the history of Nepali cinema. After this, Shweta took a break from the film industry for four years.

Shweta Khadka returned to movies in 2018. She came back as both a producer and an actress in the film Kanchhi. In this movie, she acted with Dayahang Rai. The film was directed by Aakash Adhikari, who also directed Kohinoor. Kanchhi was also a big commercial success.
