Shree Krishna Shrestha (Nepali: श्रीकृष्ण श्रेष्ठ; April 19, 1967 – August 10, 2014) was a very famous Nepalese actor and producer. He was well-known for his amazing work in Nepali movies. Many people loved him for his acting and dancing skills. He was one of the most popular and highest-earning actors in Nepali cinema history.
His Amazing Film Career
Shree Krishna Shrestha started his acting journey with a successful movie called Bhumari. After that, he starred in many popular films. Some of his well-known movies include Maiti, Bar Pipal, Aafno Manche, Gorkhali, A Mero Hajur, Upakar, and Sukha Dukha.
He also appeared in some huge hit movies that broke records. These included Hami Tin Bhai, Kaha Bhetiyela, and Kohinoor. Shree Krishna Shrestha was not just an actor; he also produced Kaha Bhetiyela and Kohinoor. Kohinoor was his very last film.
His Personal Life
Shree Krishna Shrestha married fellow actress Shweta Khadka in July 2014. They first met when Shweta made her acting debut in the Nepali movie Kaha Bhetiyela, which Shree Krishna had produced. They had been together for a long time before they got married on July 7, 2014.
His Final Days
Soon after their wedding, Shree Krishna Shrestha and his wife, Shweta Khadka, traveled to India. While there, his health started to get worse. Doctors found that he had pneumonia and bone cancer.
Shree Krishna Shrestha passed away at the age of 47. He died in Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in New Delhi, India, on August 10, 2014. Thousands of people attended his funeral in Kathmandu, showing how much he was loved. The Nepal Government also honored him nationally. Many important people in Nepal, including the Prime Minister, shared their sadness about his passing.
