The Story

The movie follows a character named Freeman Lowell, played by Bruce Dern. He is a botanist, which means he studies plants. However, a sad order comes from Earth: all the Forest Domes must be destroyed. The people on Earth have decided that the plants are no longer needed. Lowell cannot accept this. He believes these plants are too important to lose. He decides to go against orders and save his dome, no matter what it takes.

Meet the Drones

Lowell is not alone on his ship. He has three small robots called "Drones" that help him with his work. These robots are named Huey, Dewey, and Louie. They are simple, loyal, and learn from Lowell. As the story unfolds, Lowell becomes very close to these robots, especially after he is left alone in space. The Drones become his only companions and help him protect the last forest.
