Silver Valley, Alberta facts for kids
Silver Valley is a small place in northern Alberta, Canada. It's not a city or town with its own government, so it's called an unincorporated community. Silver Valley is located in a region known as Saddle Hills County.
You can find Silver Valley about 76 kilometers (47 miles) north of Highway 43. It's also about 110 kilometers (68 miles) northwest of a bigger city called Grande Prairie.
History of Silver Valley
The area where Silver Valley is located was first opened up for people to settle in 1952. These early settlers were called homesteaders. They came to build new lives and farms in this part of Alberta.
