Reinaldo Vicente Simão (born October 23, 1968), known simply as Simão, is a former professional footballer from Brazil. He played as a defensive midfielder, helping to protect his team's goal. Simão played for many different football clubs during his career. Most of these teams were in the top Brazilian league, the Campeonato Brasileiro, in the 1990s. He also played for three years in Japan with Bellmare Hiratsuka. Later, he played in Turkey for teams like Fenerbahçe and Ankaragücü.
Simão's Football Journey
Simão's career began in Brazil in 1990 with Juventude. He then moved to Internacional, where he played for three years. In 1993, he briefly joined Corinthians Paulista, another big Brazilian club.
Playing in Japan
From 1995 to 1997, Simão played for Bellmare Hiratsuka in Japan. This was a new experience for him, playing in a different country and league. He was an important player for the team during his time there.
Return to Brazil and Move to Turkey
After his time in Japan, Simão returned to Brazil. He played for Portuguesa Desportos again from 1998 to 2000. In 2001, he joined São Caetano.
In 2002, Simão moved to Turkey to play for Fenerbahçe, one of Turkey's biggest clubs. He then played for Ankaragücü in 2003. His last known club was Goiás in Brazil in 2004.
