About Simon Fraser

Simon Augustine Fraser had a busy life. He was a lieutenant in the Scots Guards for about three years, serving in different countries.

He was also involved in several businesses. He worked with salmon farming and smoking salmon in places like New Hampshire and Maine in the USA, and in Scotland. He also invested money in grape farms (vineyards) in Australia. He even had a small share in oil businesses in North Africa.

During his life, the Master of Lovat had a lot of financial challenges. He had debts that added up to about seven million British pounds (£7,000,000).
