In 2010, Simon Guobadia started a company called SIMCOL Petroleum Limited. This company provides fuel to different areas. SIMCOL's main office is in Atlanta, Georgia. They focus on supplying special types of diesel and gasoline.

Simon has also worked in the film industry. He was an executive producer for the 2020 movie, Son of the South. He worked on this film with Academy Award winner, Spike Lee.

In September 2017, Simon opened a restaurant called Simon's Restaurant. It was located in Midtown, Atlanta. The restaurant closed in May 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Simon Guobadia is a member of Northpoint Ministries. He has five children and lives in Atlanta, Georgia.

On November 25, 2022, Simon Guobadia married Porsha Williams. Their marriage ended in 2024.
