Porsha Dyanne Williams (born June 22, 1981) is an American television personality, singer, actress, and activist. She became well-known for starring on the reality TV show The Real Housewives of Atlanta. She was on the show from 2012 to 2021 and rejoined the cast in 2024.
Porsha also had her own spin-off series called Porsha's Family Matters. From 2013 to 2021, she was a co-host on Dish Nation. In 2014, she released her first song, "Flatline." She also wrote a book about her life called The Pursuit of Porsha in 2021.

Early Life and Education
Porsha Williams was born on June 22, 1981, in Atlanta, Georgia. Her parents are entrepreneurs, meaning they own their own businesses. She has a younger half-sister named Lauren and an older brother named Hosea.
Porsha's grandfather was Hosea Williams, a very important civil rights activist. He worked to make sure everyone had equal rights. Porsha went to Southwest Dekalb High School. After that, she studied business information technology at the American InterContinental University.

Starting Her Career
In 2005, when Porsha was 24, she opened a daycare center. She said her parents' careers inspired her to start her own business. Also in 2005, Porsha worked as a model for a calendar.
In 2009, Porsha met football player Kordell Stewart. They got married in May 2011. Their wedding was even shown on a TV show called Platinum Weddings.
Becoming a Reality TV Star
In September 2012, the TV channel Bravo announced that Porsha Williams would join the cast of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. This was for the show's fifth season.
Porsha and Kordell Stewart divorced in December 2013. Porsha later said she was surprised by the news. The show's sixth season showed some of the challenges in their relationship.
In December 2013, Porsha also joined the cast of a stage musical called A Mother's Love. It was created by her co-star, Kandi Burruss.
Music and Other TV Shows
Porsha released her first song, "Flatline," on March 17, 2014. It was available on the iTunes Store.
In September 2015, Bravo announced that Porsha would return as a main cast member on The Real Housewives of Atlanta. In January 2016, she joined The New Celebrity Apprentice as a contestant. This show is also known as The Celebrity Apprentice.
In September 2018, Porsha announced she was expecting a baby. She got engaged to entrepreneur Dennis McKinley in October. Their engagement was shown on The Real Housewives of Atlanta. On March 22, 2019, Porsha gave birth to her daughter, Pilar Jhena. Her journey as a new mom was featured in her first spin-off show, Porsha's Having a Baby.
In June 2025, Porsha Williams was announced as a contestant for Season 4 of Peacock’s reality competition show “The Traitors.” She joined other stars from the "Housewives" shows.
Activism and Writing
After the murder of George Floyd, Porsha became an activist. She worked to speak out against police violence. On July 15, 2020, Porsha was one of many protesters arrested outside the home of Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron. They were asking for action in the shooting of Breonna Taylor case. Porsha was released the next day.
In 2021, Porsha published her book, The Pursuit of Porsha. Fans really enjoyed reading her story.
Porsha left The Real Housewives of Atlanta after its thirteenth season in 2021. She then starred in her own spin-off series, Porsha's Family Matters, which aired for one season.
In March 2023, Porsha appeared in the third season of The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip. She joined the show as a last-minute replacement.
Porsha has also been featured in other songs for Kandi Burruss's A Mother's Love musical. These songs are available to stream on iTunes / Apple Music.
In February 2024, Porsha announced on Instagram that she would be returning to The Real Housewives of Atlanta. She had been away from the show for two seasons.
Porsha's Personal Life
Porsha was married to Kordell Stewart from 2011 to 2013. She was also engaged to Dennis McKinley, and they were together from 2017 to 2020. Their daughter, Pilar Jhena McKinley, was born in March 2019.
Porsha married Nigerian businessman Simon Guobadia in a traditional Nigerian wedding on November 25, 2022. They had a traditional American wedding the next day. In February 2024, Porsha filed for divorce from Simon.
