About Simone White
Simone White was born in Middletown, Connecticut. She grew up in the city of Philadelphia. She studied at Wesleyan University and earned a bachelor's degree.
Her Education and Career Path
After Wesleyan, Simone White went to Harvard Law School. She earned a law degree in 1997. For seven years, she worked as a lawyer. Later, she decided to study writing and literature. She earned a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree from The New School. She also received a PhD in English from the CUNY Graduate Center.
In Spring 2018, she was a visiting professor. She taught at the University of Iowa Writers' Workshop. This is a very famous program for writers. As of 2020, she became an assistant professor. She teaches in the English department at the University of Pennsylvania.
