Sir Edward Sherlock Gooch, 6th Baronet of Benacre Hall (born June 6, 1802 – died November 9, 1856) was a British politician. He was a member of the Conservative Party.

Edward Gooch was born in 1802. His father was Sir Thomas Gooch, 5th Baronet. His mother was Marianne Whittaker. Edward Gooch was a Baronet. A Baronet is a special title, like a knight, that is passed down in a family.
Family Life
Edward Gooch married Louisa Anna Maria Prescott in 1828. She was the daughter of Sir George Beeston Prescott, 2nd Baronet. They had two daughters together. Louisa passed away in 1837.
Later, in 1839, Edward married Harriet Hope-Vere. She was the daughter of James Joseph Hope-Vere. Edward and Harriet had nine children. Their children included:
