Sir Henry Onslow, 2nd Baronet (born April 23, 1784 – died September 13, 1853) was an important British figure. He was a baronet, which is a special title passed down in families, similar to a knight but inherited. Henry Onslow became the 2nd Baronet after his father, Sir Richard Onslow, 1st Baronet, passed away in 1817. He also served as a Captain in the Royal Artillery, which was a part of the British army.

Early Life and Family

Henry Onslow was born in Bramdean, a village in Hampshire, England. His birthday was April 23, 1784. He was the youngest of many children, the seventh child of Admiral Sir Richard Onslow. An admiral is a very high-ranking officer in the navy.

Henry Onslow married a woman named Caroline Bond. Together, they had a large family with nine children: four daughters and five sons. Two of his sons later inherited the baronet title, becoming the 3rd and 4th Baronets.

Later Life and Legacy

Sir Henry Onslow lived until September 13, 1853. He passed away in Steyning, a town in West Sussex. He was buried in the churchyard of All Saints parish church, which is located in Chitterne, Wiltshire.
