Life of Sir Henry
Sir Henry was the only son of Sir Henry Paulet St John, 2nd Baronet and his mother, Dorothea Maria Tucker. He was born on September 30, 1764.
Education and Inheritance
In 1781, Sir Henry went to St John's College, Cambridge University. He finished his studies there in 1785. In 1784, when his father passed away, he became the 3rd Baronet. He also inherited Dogmersfield Park, the family home.
Political Career
Sir Henry became a Member of Parliament (MP). This means he was elected to help make laws for the country. He represented different areas:
- Westbury from 1796 to 1802.
- Winchester from 1802 to 1807.
- Hampshire from 1807 until his death in 1808.
Changing His Name
In 1790, Sir Henry inherited more properties from his wife's great-uncle, Carew Hervey Mildmay. These included Marks Hall in Essex and Hazelgrove in Somerset. Because of this, he added "Mildmay" to his name, becoming St John-Mildmay. In 1796, he also inherited Moulsham Hall in Essex.
Sir Henry St John-Mildmay passed away in 1808. His oldest son, Sir Henry St John-Mildmay, 4th Baronet, took over his title and properties.

In 1786, Sir Henry married Jane Mildmay. She was the daughter of Carew Mildmay of Shawford House. Sir Henry and Jane had a very large family with 11 sons and 3 daughters.
