Sir William Rose, 2nd Baronet (born April 1, 1846 – died October 4, 1902) was an important person from Montreal, Canada. He was a barrister, which is a type of lawyer. He also inherited a special title called a baronetcy from his father, Sir John Rose, 1st Baronet, in 1888. William Rose spent most of his life in London, England, after his father moved there in 1869. He was well-known for owning a large estate called Moor Park, Farnham during the late Victorian times.

Sir William Rose's Life Story

William Rose was born in Montreal, Canada, in 1846. He was the first son of John Rose, who held many important jobs in Canada. In 1872, his father was given the special title of 1st Baronet Rose, of Montreal. William inherited this title when his father passed away in 1888.

William went to school at Rugby College. In 1868, he married Katherine Elizabeth. She was the daughter of Alexander Macalister from Torresdaile Castle. Their son, Cyril Stanley Rose, was born in 1874. Cyril was set to inherit Sir William's title. William Rose also worked in business as a partner in a company that dealt with stocks.
