Skyang Kangri facts for kids
Skyang Kangri is a very tall mountain that stands about 7,545 meters (24,754 feet) high. It is part of the Karakoram range, which is found in both China and Pakistan. This amazing peak is also known as Staircase Peak. It is one of the highest mountains on Earth, ranking as the 44th highest in the world.
Climbing Skyang Kangri
Reaching the top of Skyang Kangri is a huge challenge for climbers. The first people to successfully climb this giant mountain were Hideki Nagata and Yoshioki Fujioji. They made their historic climb in 1976. Climbing such a high mountain means facing very cold weather and thin air.
