Slagle, Missouri facts for kids
Slagle is a small, unincorporated community located in Polk County, in the U.S. state of Missouri. An "unincorporated community" means it's a group of homes and buildings that doesn't have its own local government, like a city or town would.
A Look at Slagle's Past
Slagle once had its own post office! It opened way back in 1874. People living there could send and receive their mail right in their own community. However, the post office eventually closed down in 1905. The community itself was named after a local family, the Slagles, who lived in the area.
