Slowdive facts for kids
Slowdive is a music band from England. They play a type of music called dream pop. The band started in 1985 in a town called Reading. Two of the people who started the band were Neil Halstead and Rachel Goswell. Slowdive stopped making music together in 1995. But then, in 2014, they decided to get back together and play music again!
The Band's Story
Slowdive released their very first music in 1990. It was an EP (which means "Extended Play"), and it was also called Slowdive.
Then, in September 1991, their first full album came out. It was named Just for a Day.
In 1993, Slowdive released their second album, Souvlaki. After that, they put out two more EPs. These were called 5 EP and 5 EP (In Mind Remixes).
The band released their last album, Pygmalion, in 1995. After this, the band broke up.
But in 2014, Slowdive reunited! They played at a big music event called the Primavera Sound Festival. This festival was in Barcelona, Spain, from May 29 to May 31.
