Smoking room facts for kids
A smoking room is a special area once found in many buildings. These rooms were set aside for people who smoked tobacco. They were designed to keep smoke away from other parts of the building. This helped to make the air cleaner for non-smokers.
These rooms were common in places like airports, offices, and even some restaurants. They usually had good ventilation systems. This was to pull the smoke out of the room. Over time, as people learned more about the effects of smoking, these rooms became less common. Many public places now do not allow smoking indoors at all.
