What the Story is About

The show follows Abby Oakley and Marian Freeman. Abby comes from a well-off family, and Marian is from the traveling group. Even though they are very different, they become close friends.

They are often joined by Spike and Pia Freeman. These four friends form the main group in the show. The show's title, Snobs, is actually the name of Marian's dog, who is always with him.

Another key character is Brooke Bellingham. She used to be Abby's best friend. Brooke is not happy about Abby's new friends. She tries many tricky ways to get Abby to be her best friend again.

Ryan Granger and Sam Keogh are the show's bully characters. They live in Eden Beach and really want the Ferals to leave town. They often do silly and mean things to try and make this happen. But their plans almost always go wrong.

Rachel Oakley is Abby's mother. She tries very hard to stop Abby from seeing Marian. She even threatens to send Abby away to a boarding school.

Tobar Freeman is Marian's father. When his family moves to Eden Beach, he is dealing with a past legal issue. This secret is kept from Marian until Rachel Oakley tells him later in the series.

Abby's grandmother, Gwen, also plays a big part. Abby goes to live with Gwen after some problems with her parents.

The story ends with the Ferals deciding to leave Eden Beach. Marian and his mother choose to stay behind. It is then revealed that Marian and Abby are actually related! Kizzy, the leader of the Ferals, is Gwen's sister. This discovery happens when Gwen tries to convince her family to stay. She wants Banjo, who is deaf, to get a special hearing device called a cochlear implant.
