Indiana Rose Evans (born on July 27, 1990) is a talented Australian actress. She became famous for her roles in popular TV shows like Home and Away, where she played Matilda Hunter. She also starred as Bella Hartley in H₂O: Just Add Water, a show about mermaids. Later, she took on the role of Emmaline Robinson in the movie Blue Lagoon: The Awakening.

Early life and beginnings

Indiana Evans loved performing from a very young age, starting when she was just five years old. She would often put on shows for her family and friends. When she turned seven, her parents enrolled her in dance classes. She began with ballet, then learned jazz and tap dancing.

Before she started working on Home and Away, Indiana attended Newtown High School of the Performing Arts. However, she left after only two weeks to focus more on her acting career. She then continued her studies through a special correspondence course until she was 15.

Indiana Evans began her acting journey in 2003. Her first role was in an Australian medical drama called All Saints. Soon after, she got a main role in a TV advertisement for Kool-Aid in America. In the same year, Indiana had a recurring part in the children's TV series Snobs. This show was about two friends from very different backgrounds. She also appeared in other shows like Comedy Inc. and Cops L.A.C..

After Snobs, Indiana joined the cast of the popular Australian soap opera Home and Away. She played Matilda Hunter, a rich teenage girl who had to move to a caravan park. For this role, Indiana was nominated for a Logie Award and an Inside Soap Award. In 2008, she decided to leave the series and her final episode aired in July 2008.

In 2009, Indiana starred in the TV movie A Model Daughter: The Killing of Caroline Byrne. That same year, she took over the role of Bella Hartley in the children's TV series H₂O: Just Add Water. Bella was an aspiring singer who had been a mermaid since she was nine years old. Indiana also sang the show's theme song, "No Ordinary Girl," and many other songs featured in the season. She even released a solo soundtrack album for the series in 2011.

In 2010, Indiana made her first appearance in a feature film called Arctic Blast. In this disaster movie, she played Naomi Tate. The story is about a solar eclipse that threatens to cover the world in ice. The film was shot in Tasmania, Australia.

Later in 2010, Indiana was cast in the legal drama Crownies. She played Tatum Novak, the daughter of a well-known gangster. The series was filmed in Sydney and premiered in 2011.

In 2012, Indiana took on the main female role in the TV movie Blue Lagoon: The Awakening. She starred alongside another Australian actor, Brenton Thwaites.

In 2014, Indiana joined the cast of the American TV drama Secrets and Lies. This show was based on an Australian series with the same name.
