Snodes, Ohio facts for kids
Snodes is a small, unincorporated community located in Mahoning County, Ohio, in the United States. An "unincorporated community" means it's a place where people live, but it doesn't have its own local government like a city or town.
A Glimpse into Snodes' Past
Snodes has a short but interesting history. A post office was opened in Snodes in 1886. This was a place where people could send and receive letters and packages. The post office served the community for many years. It finally closed down in 1915.
Besides the post office, Snodes was also an important stop. It had a station on the Pennsylvania Railroad. This meant that trains would stop there. The railroad helped people travel and goods move in and out of the area.
