A Look at Solivella's History
Solivella has a very long history. It was first mentioned in a written document way back in the year 1058. The town originally grew up around a castle. Today, only the ruins of this old castle remain.
Ownership Through the Ages
For a time, Solivella was owned by the Monastery of Santes Creus. This was a very important monastery. Later, in 1393, the town became part of the Catalan crown. This means it was directly controlled by the rulers of Catalonia.
