Sonny Geraci (born Emmett Peter Geraci on November 22, 1946) was an American singer. He was famous for being the main singer for two bands: The Outsiders and Climax. Sonny passed away on February 5, 2017.

Sonny Geraci's Music Journey
Sonny Geraci first became known as the lead singer for a band called The Outsiders. This group was from Cleveland, Ohio.
The Outsiders recorded music with Capitol Records. They had four songs that became very popular, reaching the Top 40 charts. These hits included "Time Won't Let Me", "Respectable (What Kind of Girl Is This)", "Girl in Love", and "Help Me Girl".
Success with Climax
Sonny Geraci's biggest hit song was "Precious and Few". He sang this song as the lead vocalist for the band Climax. The song was first released in 1971.
"Precious and Few" became a huge success, reaching number 3 on the Billboard charts. The Billboard charts measure how popular songs are in the United States.
Climax released their first album, "Climax featuring Sonny Geraci", in 1972. Even though their single was very popular, Sonny never released another album with Climax. The band broke up in 1975.
Later Music Projects
In 1983, Sonny Geraci used a different name, Peter Emmett. This was for a music project meant to help him make a comeback.
Later, in 2002, Sonny helped out his friend Rob Grill. He filled in as the lead singer for the band The Grass Roots. He became an honorary member of their group.
After being away from music for 25 years, Sonny started performing again. In 2007, he toured with a group called "Sonny Geraci and The Outsiders".
Health Challenges and Support
In April 2012, Sonny Geraci became very ill. He suffered a brain aneurysm, which is a serious medical condition. He needed a lot of special care in the hospital.
To help Sonny with his medical costs, a special concert was held. This benefit concert took place in November 2013 in Streetsboro, Ohio. Many musicians and groups performed to show their support. Some of the artists included Gary Lewis, Ron Dante, and The Vogues.
Sonny Geraci passed away on February 5, 2017. He was 70 years old. He was buried at Knollwood Cemetery in Mayfield Heights, Ohio.
