In 1820, one of the very first schoolhouses in this region was built right here in South Newbury. This helped children learn and grow.
The Old Post Office
Later, in 1868, a post office opened in South Newbury. People could send and receive letters and packages there. The post office served the community for many years. It finally closed its doors in 1907.
