Focus Hospitality created the "Splash Universe Water Park Resorts" brand to offer full-service waterparks that are also a good value for families.
Each Splash Universe waterpark has its own unique theme. For example, the waterpark in Dundee, Michigan has an outdoor adventure theme. There used to be another Splash Universe waterpark in Shipshewana, Indiana, which had a country theme. Both of these waterparks first opened their doors in the winter of 2006.

On June 6, 2010, a strong tornado hit the area around Dundee, Michigan. This tornado caused a lot of damage to several places, including the Splash Universe Waterpark and some nearby businesses. Luckily, no one was seriously hurt. However, the waterpark and other damaged places had to close for several months. This allowed them to make all the necessary repairs from the storm. After the repairs were done, the waterpark was able to welcome guests back for more fun.
Changes Over Time
The Splash Universe resort that was located in Shipshewana, Indiana closed its doors in 2013. This means that the Dundee, Michigan location is now the main Splash Universe Water Park Resort.
