What is Spratt's Story?
Spratt has an interesting past! A long time ago, in 1884, a post office opened there. A post office is where people send and receive letters and packages. This post office helped the people living in Spratt stay connected. It operated for many years, finally closing in 1955.
Besides the post office, Spratt was also a stop on a train line. This line was called the Bellaire, Zanesville and Cincinnati Railroad. Train stations were very important back then. They helped people travel and moved goods from one place to another. This shows that Spratt was once a busy little hub!
