Springdale, Kansas facts for kids
Springdale is a small place in Leavenworth County, Kansas, in the United States. It's called an unincorporated community. This means it's a group of homes and businesses that isn't officially a city or town with its own local government.
The Story of Springdale
Springdale was first planned out on a map in 1860. This process, called "platting," is when people officially lay out the streets and lots for a new community. In the same year, a post office opened in Springdale. A post office was very important back then for sending and receiving letters and packages. The Springdale post office served the community for many years until it closed in 1907.
