On June 17, 2012, Star Jalsha got a fresh new look. They launched a new logo, which was a diamond star. This was shown during a special event called Chalo Paltai, which means 'Let's Change'.
Some characters from the channel's shows became very popular. These include Jhilik and Pari from Maa, Pakhi from Bojhena Se Bojhena, Kiranmala from Kiranmala, and Baha from Ishti Kutum.
The channel also hosts the Star Jalsha Awards. These awards celebrate the best characters and shows on the channel.
On April 14, 2016, which is 'Poila Boishakh' (the Bengali New Year), Star Jalsha HD was launched. At the same time, Jalsha Movies HD also started. These were the very first Bengali HD channels in India!
