Pratidaan (Bengali: প্রতিদান) is a popular TV show from India. It's a Bengali drama that first aired on August 21, 2017, on the STAR Jalsha channel. The show was made by Boyhood Productions. It stars Sandipta Sen and Sheikh Rezwan Rabbani as the main characters, and Tanuka Chatterjee plays a character who causes trouble. Pratidaan took the place of another popular show called Milon Tithi.
Story of Pratidaan
The story of Pratidaan follows a young woman named Shimul. She is very smart and loves to study. Shimul dreams of marrying into a family that will respect her education.
However, her future mother-in-law has different ideas. She wants a daughter-in-law who isn't educated at all. By chance, Shimul meets the mother-in-law's son, Neel. He is very different from Shimul.
They end up getting married. Shimul finds herself in a marriage she didn't expect. She has to teach life lessons to her husband, Neel, who can be quite arrogant. The show explores if they will ever fall in love and what challenges they face together.
