This is the third book about the adventurous Tracy Beaker. In this story, Tracy's school class is putting on a play called "A Christmas Carol". Tracy really wants a part in it! She dreams of becoming a famous actress, just like her mum. She hopes this play will be her big chance to start.
Tracy's Big Role
Tracy lives in a children's home, which she calls "The Dumping Ground." She gets the main role in the school play: Ebenezer Scrooge! She tries her very best to act well. Tracy really wants her mum to come and watch her perform.
Playtime Drama
Things get a bit messy when Tracy punches her enemy, Justine Littlewood, in the nose. Because of this, Tracy loses her role in the play. But don't worry, she gets it back later! The other kids who try out for Scrooge aren't very good, so Tracy gets her part back near the end of the book. Tracy ends up spending her Christmas with her foster mum, Cam.
