A Career in Baseball
Before becoming an actor, Stephen Bishop was a talented baseball player. He played for the University of California, Riverside from 1991 to 1992. After college, his skill on the field earned him a free agent contract with the Atlanta Braves, a major league team.
In 1993, he played for the Idaho Falls Braves. He later played for teams in an independent league, including the Sioux Falls Canaries and the St. Paul Saints. His baseball career continued in 1995 with the High Desert Mavericks, a team connected to the Baltimore Orioles.
Becoming an Actor
In the 2000s, Bishop switched his focus to acting. He started with smaller parts in movies like The Rundown (2003) and Friday Night Lights (2004). He also had guest roles on popular TV shows, including Lost, Grey's Anatomy, and The Mentalist.
