Darrell Lynn Bell, Jr. (born July 2, 1981) is a cool American musician. He is known by his stage name, Stephen the Levite, or just STL. He makes Christian hip hop music. In 2012, he released an album called The Last Missionary. This album became very popular. It even made it onto the Billboard music charts! Stephen is part of a Christian hip hop group called The Collective. Other members include Timothy Brindle and Zae da Blacksmith. He was also in a group called Redeemed Thought. People know him for his clever rhymes and fast way of singing.

His Music Journey
Stephen the Levite started making music in 2001. He signed with Lamp Mode Recordings in 2007. His first album was To Die Is Gain. Then, in 2010, he released his second album, The Forerunner.
His album The Last Missionary came out in 2012. This was the album that helped him get on the Billboard charts. A music review site, New Release Tuesday, gave it four out of five stars.
Stephen is also a member of a Christian hip hop group called The Collective. He works with Timothy Brindle and Zae da Blacksmith in this group. Another one of his albums, Can I Be Honest?, also got good reviews. Indie Vision Music gave it four out of five stars. In 2020, he released his album Still Hungry.

Stephen the Levite has four children. His first child was born on February 4, 2010. His second child was born on September 17, 2011. His third child was born on April 28, 2017. His youngest child was born on August 30, 2019.
His firstborn, Levi, has appeared in some music videos. You can see him in "Sure Thing" by S.O. and in Stephen's own "S.O.S" music video. His second child, Brooklyn, also appears in the "S.O.S" video.
