The Stewart Creek Bridge, also known as Bridge L6007, is a cool stone bridge in Duluth, Minnesota. It's located in the Smithville neighborhood. This bridge was built around 1925. It's part of the beautiful Skyline Parkway, which offers amazing views of the city.

Building the Bridge
What the Bridge Is Made Of
The Stewart Creek Bridge is built from a dark green rock called gabbro. This type of rock is found a lot in the Duluth area. The bridge has a single arch that goes over a deep valley.
The arch starts about 7 feet (2.1 meters) above the ground. It rises 10 feet (3 meters) high and spans 30 feet (9.1 meters) across. The walls that support the arch continue straight back. These walls help hold up the ground leading to the bridge.
Unique Design Features
The top of the bridge railings has a cool double sawtooth pattern. This pattern is also made from gabbro rock. The bridge is about 29 feet (8.8 meters) wide in total.
The design of the bridge shows ideas from the mid-1800s. It appears suddenly on a hidden curve. Its tall supports make it look even higher. The bridge has a curved shape, and pointy rocks line the path leading to it. The spiky railings also add to its unique look.
Keeping the Bridge Strong
The City of Duluth worked to fix up the bridge. This work happened between 2012 and 2013. This helped make sure the historic bridge stays strong for many more years.
