Stillings is a small place in Platte County, Missouri. It's called an unincorporated community. This means it's a group of homes and businesses that don't have their own local government, like a city or town does. Instead, it's part of the larger county. Stillings is located near the big city of Kansas City.
The History of Stillings
Stillings was first planned out in the year 1889. A man named Vinton Stillings created the community. He even gave it his own name!
For a while, Stillings had its own post office. This post office opened in 1890. It helped people send and receive letters and packages. However, the post office closed its doors in 1913.
