About Stimpy

Stimpy is a red Manx cat. He has a blue nose and no tail. His look was inspired by the character Tweety from Looney Tunes. John Kricfalusi named Stimpy after a classmate named "Stimpy Cadogen".

The voice of Stimpy was first done by Billy West from 1990 to 1996. Billy West said he based Stimpy's voice on Larry Fine from The Three Stooges. Later, in 2003, Eric Bauza became the voice of Stimpy. Some fans asked Billy West why he was not in the show Ren and Stimpy: "Adult Party Cartoon". Billy West explained that he did not think the new series was funny.
