The Stockholm Globe Arena (called Globen in Swedish) is a very famous indoor stadium in Stockholm, Sweden. It looks like a giant white golf ball! It first opened its doors on 19 February 1989. This amazing building is mostly known for hosting exciting ice hockey games. It also holds many big concerts and other fun events.

Globen is one of the most well-known buildings in Stockholm. It was built to be a large place where many people could gather. It is used for both sports and entertainment. The arena is located in the area of Johanneshov.
What Happens Inside Globen?
The main sport played at Globen is ice hockey. It is the home arena for the Swedish national men's ice hockey team, called Tre Kronor. Many important hockey tournaments have been held here. Besides hockey, Globen hosts many other events. These include basketball games, figure skating shows, and even horse riding competitions.
It's also a popular spot for music lovers. Many famous bands and singers from all over the world have performed concerts at Globen. It can hold up to 16,000 people for concerts, making it a huge venue for live music.
The Unique Shape of Globen
Globen is special because of its round, spherical shape. It looks like a huge white ball. This design makes it stand out in the Stockholm skyline. The building was designed by architects Svante Berg and Lars Vretblad. It took about three years to build, from 1986 to 1989.
On top of Globen, there is a special attraction called SkyView. This is a glass gondola that takes visitors up the outside of the globe. From the top, you can get an amazing view of Stockholm. It's a fun way to see the city from a high point.
