Storms, Ohio facts for kids
Storms is a small place in Ross County, Ohio, in the United States. It's called an unincorporated community. This means it's a group of homes and businesses that isn't officially a town or city with its own local government. Instead, it's part of the larger county.
History of Storms
The first people settled in the area known as Storms way back in 1802. That's over 200 years ago! Later, in 1887, a post office was opened there. A post office is where people send and receive letters and packages. This post office served the community for many years, staying open until 1940. The community of Storms got its name from a person named John Storms. He was the grandfather of a merchant, which is someone who owned a store in the area.
