About Storytime with Thomas
This TV show was all about telling stories. It featured popular characters that kids loved. The main goal was to entertain young viewers. It brought together different cartoon adventures.
How the Show Was Put Together
Each episode of Storytime with Thomas had a special format. It usually started with a short music video. After that, two episodes from Thomas & Friends were shown. Back then, the show was known as Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends.
In between the two Thomas episodes, there was another cartoon. This was an episode from The Magic Adventures of Mumfie. So, viewers got a mix of different stories.
Who Narrated the Stories?
Famous voices helped bring the stories to life. George Carlin was the narrator for the first four seasons of Thomas & Friends. He told the stories for Series 1 through Series 4.
Later, Alec Baldwin took over as narrator. He narrated Series 5 of the show. Both narrators helped make the stories engaging for kids.
Why the Show Ended
Storytime with Thomas stopped airing in late 2001. This happened because of some changes behind the scenes. The company that created the show was called The Britt Allcroft Company. It changed its name to Gullane Entertainment.
Then, in 2002, another company bought Gullane Entertainment. This company was called HiT Entertainment. After these changes, Storytime with Thomas was no longer broadcast.
